LGA to bring US and NC House candidates to Lake Gaston
In keeping with its practice of introducing area voters to candidates in key races, US House District 1 candidates G.K. Butterfield (D) (incumbent) and Ashley Woolard (R), and NC House District 049 candidates John May (D), who was appointed to fill the seat vacated by Rep. Lucy Allen and Glen Bradley (R), will speak at the LGA’s next monthly meeting on Wednesday, October 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church, 1 mile north of Eaton Ferry Bridge on Hwy. 903, near the Food Lion Shopping Center.
The public is invited and encouraged to turn out to meet these candidates, listen to their positions and take the opportunity to ask questions on the issues. Election Day, November 2, is fast approaching and this will be the final forum to be offered by the LGA before the election.
In order to allow sufficient time for each candidate to speak and answer questions from the audience, other LGA business will be kept to an absolute minimum for this one meeting.
The meeting is open to all concerned citizens who wish to be able to make an informed decision on whom to vote for when they get to the polls.
For further information, call the LGA office at (252) 586-6577, toll free (888) 586-6577 or President Doug Hughes at (252) 308-6840.
Meetings are held the 1st Wednesday of the month
from 9:30 am - Noon, and are open to the public (non-members are invited).
The meeting is an opportunity to hear about recent activities and
updates from LGA committees:
Lake Environment, Membership, Planning and Development, Government Relations and
Safety.
Location: Community Hall, Lake Gaston
Baptist Church on Rt. 903, Littleton, NC,
one mile north of the Eaton Ferry Bridge
